Call for Papers: Language and Technology in the 21st Century
SEALLT and MAALLT Joint Conference
at the College of Charleston
March 9-11, 2006 (tentative date)
Charleston, South Carolina
SEALLT - Southeast Association of Language Learning Technology
MAALLT - Mid-Atlantic Association of Language Learning Technology
Technology keeps moving ahead - do you know about podcasting, wikis, blogs, and smart boards? Does technology promise more than it can deliver? How much does all this technology cost?
We invite presentations, workshops, and panels of various lengths that interest K-16 language educators and professionals supporting the use and integration of technology in language learning.
Conference details will be forthcoming on our SEALLT and MAALLT websites.
Especially welcome are proposals for 15-60 minute sessions that illustrate the blending of foreign language learning with cultural topics and that address one of the following areas:
- Inexpensive and Effective Technologies
- Programs K-16 instructors can use the next day
- A pot-luck of best practices and strategies for the foreign language classroom.
- 5-Minute Video Tours of Media Centers in our area.
